Not sure which service you need?

Most people arrive here knowing the symptom rather than the fix. This is how the symptoms map onto the work.

Common roof symptoms and the service that addresses each
What you are seeingWhere to start
Water coming through a ceiling right now24/7 emergency roof repair
A stain that appears only after heavy rainRoof leak repair — diagnosis before patching
Shingles in the yard after a windstormStorm damage roof repair
Dented gutters and vent caps after hailHail damage inspection
Icicles and a ridge of ice at the eaveIce dam removal and prevention
Standing water on a flat rear roofFlat and low-slope roofing
Slates on the ground, intactSlate roof repair — usually nail sickness
Granules in the gutters and curling shinglesRoof replacement
Water sheeting over the gutter edgeGutters and downspouts

If none of those quite fit, call. Describing what you are seeing to someone who works these roofs every week is faster than guessing from a list, and the inspection is free either way.

The eighteen pages below are grouped three ways because roofing problems arrive three ways. The core services are the planned work — replacements, repairs and the material systems that go on a roof. The emergency and storm group is what you need when the weather has already happened and the clock is running. The specialty group covers property types that need a different approach entirely: historic buildings where the material matters as much as the waterproofing, and commercial low-slope roofs where the constraint is keeping a business open while the work happens.

One thing worth saying plainly, because it decides which page you should be on. Repair is nearly always cheaper today, and we recommend it far more often than we recommend replacement. It stops being the right answer at a specific point: when the shingles are brittle enough that replacing one cracks its neighbours, when you have had three separate leaks in two years, or when the roof aged early because the attic was never properly ventilated and the whole field is at the same stage as the part that just failed. Any of those and a repair is an instalment on a replacement you are going to buy anyway.

Every job

What does not change, whichever service you need

  • A written report, not a verdict

You get photographs of what we actually found — including the parts of your roof that are fine. If the honest answer is that you have five good years left, that is what the report says.

  • Line-item estimates

Tear-off, disposal, decking allowance, underlayment, ice and water shield, starter, field material, ridge, flashing, ventilation and labour, priced separately. It is what makes competing bids comparable.

  • The price does not expire

No closer, no same-day discount, no number inflated so it can be dramatically reduced. Tuesday's estimate is Friday's estimate.

  • Ice and water shield as standard

Past the interior wall line at every eave, in the valleys and around every penetration. In this climate it is not an upgrade, and it is the line cheap quotes cut first.

  • Ventilation corrected, not ignored

If your attic has a ridge vent and no working intake, fixing it is in the scope. Skipping it voids most shingle warranties and it is why so many roofs here fail early.

  • Local accountability

The shop is at 1000 N Cameron Street. We will be selling roofs on the same blocks next year, which is the whole reason we come back to look at a detail that is bothering you.
